What is the Giant's Drink? What does Ender conclude from this mind game? What does his play teach those who observe him about Ender? Who do you think is manipulating this game? Use evidence from the text to support your answers. Include page numbers.
The giant’s drink is part of the game that Ender likes to play at the school. The game involves a giant that makes you guess between two shot glasses. One is poison, and one isn’t. Ender always guesses wrong, and ends up getting killed in the game. The way that Ender plays the game concerns those who are observing him. They are starting to wonder whether or not he is more like a Peter. I also think that Graff is manipulating the game in order to find out how Ender reacts to constant failure.

The Giant’s Drink is a section in a computer game Ender plays called Free Play. It is when a giant gives you a choice of two drinks, supposedly one being safe and the other deadly, yet Ender is never able to choose the drink that is supposed to be safe. “Guessing meant sticking his head into one of the glasses to drink. He never guessed right” (Card 63). Ender concludes that this game is pretty much unbeatable despite the Giant’s comments about the so-called ‘Fairyland’. The teachers who observe Ender play this game think of him as turning into a more aggressive person, like Peter. Even Ender thinks, “I’m a murderer, even when I play. Peter would be proud of me” (Card 65). We think the computer is manipulating the game because the teachers have seemingly no control over what it does and how it does it. If the teachers had control, they could just remove the Giant’s Drink game. The texts states “He’s stuck at the Giant’s Drink in the mind game. Is the boy suicidal?” (Card 54). If the teachers believe that the game was affecting Ender, they would remove it, if they could manipulate the computer.

Giants drink is a mind game. Ender concludes that he is like Peter since he is able to kill things with ease. “I’m a murderer, even when I play. Peter would be proud of me” (Card 65).They believe he is able to achieve the impossible, because he was the first person to ever beat the giant. We believe Graff and the rest of the generals are manipulating the game.

The Giants Drink is part of a game that Ender plays at battle school. One of the drinks is poison and one is normal and you have to choose which one you want to drink. Ender concludes from this mind game that no matter what drink you pick, you always die. The people that are observing Ender think he is more like a Peter because he kills the giant by poking his eye out. In the text it says, “He jumped at the Giant’s face, clambered up his lip and nose, and began to dig in the Giant’s eye. The stuff came away like cottage cheese, and as the Giant screamed, Ender’s figure burrowed into the eye, climbed right in, and burrowed in and in” (Card 64-65). This shows that the Giant died from Ender killing him, and the people think Ender is just like Peter because he is killing people even in video games. The people monitoring Ender are manipulating the game, because the choices he makes shows his character. They also might manipulate the game to see how Ender reacts to failure over and over and get a good example of what his character is like.

Chapter 6
The Giant’s Drink is a virtual game that Ender plays on his desk during his free time. In the text it says “It was a shifting, crazy kind of game in which the school computer kept bringing up new things, building a maze that you could explore. You could go back to events that you liked, for a while; if you left one alone too long, it disappeared and something else took its place,” (Card 62). Its a very complicated game that has many different levels that Ender has to get through in free play. Ender believes the game is rigged because in the text it states, “Ender knew that whatever he would choose he would die, the game was rigged” (Card 64). When the people observe they come up with a conclusion, in the text it says “He’s stuck at the Giant’s Drink in the mind game. Is the boy suicidal? You never mentioned it,” (Card 54). They think that Ender is suicidal since it a mind game. We believe that it’s Enders mind that is manipulating the game because the text states, “He hadn’t meant to kill the giant. This was supposed to be a game. Not a choice between his own grisly death, and even worse murder. I’m a murder, even when I play. Peter would be proud of me, (Card 65). This shows evidence to infer the game is built off of Enders mind, because he is stuck believing he is a murder, and he solves the game in a unique way, by murder.

The Giant’s Drink is a computer game that Ender plays in battle school. The giant in the game gives you to drinks to choose from, one being safe and the other on deadly. Ender realizes the game is realized that the game is rigged and no matter what you choose you die. Ender finally decides to “cheat” to win the game. “And instead of pushing his face into one of the liquids, he kicked one over, then the other, and dodged the Giant’s huge hands” (Card 64). This teaches people observing Ender that he can find other ways to solve a problem in a life threatening situation. I think Graff or the teachers in the school are manipulating this game to see what Ender can do in these kind of situations.

It is a strategy that has been installed on the computers of the launchies, and it involves choice and works the mind of the player. This game is designed to test the mind and tactics of the young boys at Battle School. The giants drink is a section of the game, where you were presented with two drinks one was poison but the other was not, but both of them had some kind of horrible death. In the end Ender attacks the giant and advanced on to the next level or part of the game. “Ender knew that whatever he chose he would die” (Card 64). Ender realized that there is always some kind of negative effect on no matter what he choses in this game. “He’s is stuck at the Giants Drink in the mind game”(Card 45). Graff is talking about the mind game that he created to see if any of the boys will beat it. They created it to see the mind and strategy of the boys, and so far nobody has passed it. Our group thinks that Graff created the game to see the tactics of the boys, but the game is dependent on the boys thoughts and mind.

Giants Drink is a guessing game on Ender’s computer. When you come up to the giant in the game, he will ask if you want to play a guessing game. Ender concludes that the game is too violent and it is rigged, so you will always lose. In the text it states, “I’m sick of the giant. It’s a dumb game and I can’t ever win. Whatever I choose is wrong, (Card 62). Those who observe Ender think this might lead to killing himself. In the past, the last time a kid got really into this game, killed himself. They are expecting the same thing to happen to Ender, now. The text states, “Don’t you see what’s going on here? He’s stuck at the Giants Drink in the mind game. Is the boy suicidal? You never mentioned it” (Card 54). We think that the people who are manipulating the game are the people who are observing him.

The Giant’s drink was made of poison that had various consequences. Ender does not like the game, because he doesn’t want to be like Peter but the game forces it on him. “This was suppose to be a game. Not a choice between his own grisly death and even worse murder. I’m a murderer, even when I play. Peter would be proud of me” (Card 65). This game tells the people observing him that he is smart and tactical because he can defeat the giant and he made it to Fairyland. I think the administrators are manipulating the game to work the students mind’s and see how they react to certain circumstances.

The Giant’s Drink is a game Ender plays on his computer desk. The Giant offers Ender two drinks, but whichever one he picks is the wrong one. No matter how hard he tries, Ender is unable to pass this level. Eventually, Ender concludes that is impossible to pass by drinking one of the Giant’s drinks. This teaches those who are watching Ender that he is smart and will not always do exactly what he is told. We think that the leaders of the Battle School are the ones who are manipulating the game to see if Ender is capable of overcoming the obstacle. In the text it says “Ender knew that whatever he chose he would die. The game was rigged” (Card 64).

Giant’s Drink is a game in which the player has two options. The glass on the right, and the glass on the left. He or she chooses a glass, but one of them is poison. If you pick the one without poison, you win. The one with poison, you lose. But Ender seems to always pick the wrong glass and lose the game. Ender came to the conclusion that the game was somehow programmed to make him lose every time, for in the text it is said “Ender knew that whatever he chose he would die. The game was rigged” (Card 64). Ender never really find out if the game is rigged for sure, but if it is being rigged, then I think it is by Graff. I come to this conclusion because Graff admitted to being friends with Ender, and Graff wants Ender to be the greatest of the boys, he want Ender to exercise his mind to the point in which he achieves the seemingly impossible. Finally, in the game, Ender realizes that in order to win, he must kill the giant. The students around him think that he’s incredible, able to do the impossible. Meanwhile, Ender thinks he is like Peter, for he can kill things with ease.

Chapter 6
In the book Ender’s game, there is a mind game called the Giant’s Drink. This game is for all of the soldiers in battle school. In the game, you go through a series of difficulties, until you reach the giant. The giant gives you two drinks, one is poisonous, and one is not. If you choose the drink that is not poisonous, the giant will let you go on to fairyland. However, if you choose the one that is poisonous, your character will die and you will have to restart the game from a previous checkpoint. Ender plays the Giant’s Drink over and over again, and finally concludes that it is rigged. Whatever drink you choose, you will die. The text states, “Ender knew that whatever he chose he would die. The game was rigged,” (Card 64). Eventually, Ender does the impossible by clawing out the Giant’s eye and killing him. Because of this, Ender continues on to fairyland. Graff and the other teachers in Battle School are observing Ender, and are shocked when Ender reaches fairyland, for no one has ever done that before. Ender teaches those watching him that he doesn’t give up, and won’t stop until he accomplishes his goal. The text states, “‘But Ender won’t leave it alone. Like Pinual,”’ (Card 54). I think that Graff and the other people who are in charge of Battle School manipulate this game. This is because at the beginning of the chapter, Graff and another person in charge of the school are talking about how Ender is stuck at the Giant’s Drink in the game. These are the only people who have been watching Ender play this game and know how far he has progressed in the game. Because of this, I believe that Graff and the other people in charge of the school are manipulating the Giant’s Drink.

The Giant’s Drink is one of the challenges that was part of a game that Ender enjoyed called Free Play. In this part of the game, Ender has to choose between two of the Giant’s shot glasses. One is poison and one is not. Everytime Ender had to choose which was which, he always guessed wrong and ends up getting killed in the game. Ender found this part of the game rather irritating. “I’m sick of the Giant. It’s a dumb game and I can’t ever win. Whatever I choose is wrong.” (Card 62) By observing Ender playing this game, the people who are watching can learn how he reacts to provoking scenarios. They are trying to see if he acts or is growing similar to his brother Peter by testing if he will his aggression to break free. And in this case, it did. “I’m a murderer, even when I play. Peter would be proud of me.” (Card 65) I believe that Colonel Graff and Major Anderson are manipulating the game because based on the first few paragraphs of every chapter, it seems that they are the ones who are watching Ender and scrutinizing his every move. “Ender knew that whatever he chose he would die. The game was rigged.” (Card 64)
There are a few roles you could obtain via dragon age universe. Giant golems, rare dragons and other monsters will be amongst of these characters. Every one of these heroes have got their unique skill sets.
